Gorset - element kobiecego stroju noszony przez panie od XVI wieku. Niegdyś przypominający nieco narzędzie tortur, nadające osobie go noszącej odpowiednia figurę, postawę oraz talię.
Samo słowo gorset pochodzi od
francuskiego słowa corps czyli ciało.
Najstarszy gorset powstał w roku 1556 i wykonany był z żelaza. Gorsety w ówczesnych
czasach miały na celu uzyskanie tzw. talii osy, która
była wówczas szalenie na topie. Z
upływem stuleci zmieniał on swoją fason. W wieku XVII obszywano je cennymi
materiałami oraz złotymi koronkami. W wieku
XVIII występował on jako element dwuczęściowych sukni a jego celem było podniesie kobiecego
biustu oraz wysmuklenie talii.
Na przełomie XVIII oraz XIX wieku
zaczęto od gorsetów odchodzić. Po czym nagle powróciły niejednokrotnie
przyczyniając się poprzez swoja formę do śmierci noszących go właścicielek.
Po pierwszej wojnie światowej zaczęto odchodzić od gorsetów
na dobre. Z powodzeniem zastępując je wyłącznie stanikami.
Do łask gorset powrócił w latach 80-tych XX wieku za sprawą projektanta Jeana Paula
Gaultiera, który ubierał w nie jedną z najbardziej znanych piosenkarek świata - Madonnę.
Dziś gorsety swoja formą niczym nie przypominają tych noszonych kilka
stuleci temu i stanowią wyłącznie elegancką bądź erotyczną część kobiecej garderoby. Bardzo chętnie łączoną w różnego typu zestawach o czym będziecie mogły się przekonać w dalszych outfitowych
postach.
