Nie jestem typem "jesieniary", wręcz przeciwnie, gdy przychodzi jesień to napawa mnie ona rodzajem smutku, refleksji oraz spadku energetycznego. Z tych też powodów staram się szukać różnych rzeczy, które sprawiają, że ten specyficzny okres przechodzę z większą nutką optymizmu. Usiłuję dostrzegać plusy oraz pozytywne aspekty, choć wiadomo nie zawsze jest to łatwe. Jednym z takich elementów jesiennych, które lubię oprócz wypadów na grzyby oraz Halloween - są dyniowe farmy, które uważam za świetną okazję do spędzenia wspólnie czasu razem z bliskimi.
I am not the type of person who enjoys autumn. On the contrary, when autumn comes, it fills me with a kind of sadness, reflection, and a drop in energy. For these reasons, I try to look for different things that make me go through this specific period with a greater note of optimism. I try to see the pros and positive aspects, although, of course, it's not always easy. One of the things I like about fall, apart from mushroom picking and Halloween, are pumpkin farms, which I consider a great opportunity to spend time with my loved ones.
W tym roku koniec października oraz początek listopada spędziliśmy z Kubą wspólnie z rodziną mojej siostry w Anglii. W samo Halloween przebrani za różne postacie poszliśmy wraz z dziećmi zbierać wspólnie cukierki w najbliższej okolicy. Natomiast przed samym Halloween odwiedziliśmy wspólnie dwie rożne dyniowe farmy.
This year, we spent the end of October and beginning of November with Kuba and my sister's family in England. On Halloween itself, dressed up as various characters, we went with the children to collect candy in the neighborhood. Before Halloween, we visited two different pumpkin farms together.
Pierwszą z nich była Hatter's Farm. Tą farmę zwiedzaliśmy wieczorową porową, co osobiście bardzo polecam, bo wtenczas przepięknie wyglądają wszystkie dyniowo-halloweenowe dekoracje. Jest mnóstwo świateł, neonów, a także część, w której możecie podziwiać neonowe dynie w świetle UV. Ponadto na farmie znajduje się kukurydziany labirynt ( przeszliśmy kawałek i zrezygnowaliśmy bo ilość błota nas jednak przerosła), tunele strachów, miejsca, w których można się czegoś napić oraz coś zjeść. Pierwszy raz w życiu wraz z Kubą mieliśmy okazje jeść smażone w ognisku pianki i obecnie oboje, po tym doświadczeniu rozumiemy ich fenomen.
The first one was Hatter's Farm. We visited this farm in the evening, which I personally recommend, because all the pumpkin and Halloween decorations look beautiful then. There are lots of lights, neon signs, and a section where you can admire neon pumpkins in UV light. In addition, the farm has a corn maze (we walked a bit and gave up because the amount of mud overwhelmed us), tunnels of fear, places where you can get something to drink and eat. For the first time in our lives, Kuba and I had the opportunity to eat marshmallows roasted over a fire, and now, after this experience, we both understand their phenomenon.
Drugą odwiedzoną przez nas farmą była Cammas Hall i na tej byliśmy już w ciągu dnia. Jest ona nieco mniejsza niż Hatter's Farm, ale także i tu znajdziecie mnóstwo tradycyjnych dyniowo-halloweenowych atrakcji takich jak tunele strachu, dyniowe pola, miejsca gdzie można coś zjeść i wypić, lokalny market, labirynt w polu kukurydzy ( motywem przewodnim na tej farmie były dinozaury) a także plac zabaw dla dzieci. W czasie, gdy dzieci korzystały z lokalnego placu zabaw my delektowaliśmy się przepyszną gorącą czekoladą.
Osobiście uwielbiam takie miejsca i uważam , że są one super pomysłem do spędzenia wspólnie czasu czy to z rodziną czy z przyjaciółmi. A czy Wy lubicie takie atrakcje? A może sami byliście na takiej dyniowej farmie?
The second farm we visited was Cammas Hall, and we went there during the day. It is slightly smaller than Hatter's Farm, but here too you will find plenty of traditional pumpkin and Halloween attractions such as tunnels of fear, pumpkin fields, places to eat and drink, a local market, a cornfield maze (the theme of this farm was dinosaurs), and a playground for children. While the children were enjoying the local playground, we savored delicious hot chocolate.
Personally, I love places like this and think they are a great idea for spending time together, whether with family or friends. Do you like attractions like this? Or maybe you've been to a pumpkin farm yourself?
