"Jeżeli nie lubisz czytać, nie znalazłeś właściwej książki" napisała J.K Rowling. I coś w tych słowach faktycznie jest. Trudna, mało interesująca, źle napisana książka może znięchęcać. Natomiast taka, która w jakiś sposób "dotyka" naszego prywatnego świata wręcz odwrotnie. Życzę Wam, abyście w tym roku trafiali wyłącznie na ten drugi rodzaj książek.

“If you don’t like to read, you haven’t found the right book.” - wrote J.K Rowling.And there is something in this words. Difficult,  not interesting , badly written book can be repulsive. However, one that in some way "affects" our private world it can be just the opposite of it. I wish you, this year, only read the second type of the books.

1. Jack Ketchum "Straceni"/ "The lost" (7/10)

Książka opowiada o toksycznej relacji trójki młodych ludzi Tima, Jennifer oraz Ray'a-który stoi na  ich czele. Pewnego dnia dopuszcza sie on morderstwa dwóch młodych dziewczyn. Nie ponosi jednak z tego tytułu żadnych konsekwencji.Po  czterech latach sprawą powyżych morderstw zajmuje się detektyw Schilling, który nie ma zamiaru spocząć dopóki nie odkryje zabójcy. Tymaczasem  w mieście pojawia się nowa dziewczyna - Katherine co powoduje,że zabawa dla Raya dopiero sie zaczyna... 

The book tells a story about toxic relationship of three young people, Tim, Jennifer and Ray-who is their leader. One day, he commits the murder of two young girls. However, he didn't bear the consequences cause of this what he done.  After four years, the case of the above-mentioned murders is investigated by Detective Schilling, who has no intention of resting until he finds the killer. Meanwhile, a new girl Katherine appears in the city, which makes Ray's fun just beginning ...

 

2.  Joanna Opiat -Bojarska  " Koneser"

Seks biznes, rynek handlu organami ludzkimi - to główne wątki książki Joanna Opiat Bojarskiej "Koneser".  W krótkim odstępie czasu w Poznaniu zostają znalezione przez przypadkowe osoby dwa ciała: mężczyzny oraz kobiety. Dwóch detektywów: doświadczony Burzyński oraz niedawno zaczynający służbę w szeregach policji młody detektyw Majewski rozpoczynają śledztwo. Pomaga im w tym doświadczona pani antropolog Anita Broll. 

Sex business, traffic of human's organg - these are the main topics of the plot of the book written by Joanna Opiat Bojarska "Connoisseur". In a short  time in Poznań, two bodies- a man and a woman are found by accidental persons. Two detectives: an experienced Burzyński and a young detective Majewski, who is just beginning to serve in the police ranks, are starting an investigation.And it helps them in this one the experienced anthropologist Anita Broll.

3. Rowan Coleman, Cara Delevingne " Mirror, Mirror"

Red, Leo, Rose oraz Naomi to czwórka przyjaciół, których łaczy zespół muzyczny Mrirror Mirror. Pewnego dnia Naomi zostaje wyciągnietą z rzeki. Pozostaje w śpiączce, a tymczasem jej przyjaciele próbują rozwikłać zagadkę jak do tego doszło. Ciekawie skonstruowany thriller młodzieżowy poruszający szereg pobocznych, ważnych wątków. 

Red, Leo, Rose and Naomi are four friends who are joined by the music band Mrirror Mirror. One day, Naomi is pulled out from the river. She stays in a coma, and meanwhile her friends try to resolve the mystery of how this is happened. An interestingly constructed youth thriller - touching a number of minor, important problems - threads.

Kolejny miesiąc tym razem pełen świątecznych przygotowań oraz atmosfery a także kolejna porcja przeczytanych książek. Mam nadzieję, że wśród nich każdy z Was znajdzie coś dla siebie. 

Another month this time full of Christmas preparations and Christmas atmosphere and also another portion of books that I read. I hope that among them each of you will find something for yourself.

1. Remigiusz Mróz - Kontratyp

Mróz to jeden z najpopularniejszych pisarzy młodego pokolenia. "Kontratyp" to jego najnowsza powieść z cyklu Chyłka - opowiadająca o dalszych perypetiach dwójki warszawskich adwokatów.Tym razem Chyłka zostaje zmuszona do obrony jednej z uczestniczek wyprawy na Annapurnę. Książka wciąż moim zdaniem trzyma poziom choć wątek wysłania Joanny Ch. na ten ośmiotysięcznik jest nieco przesadzony. Całość jednak czyta się dobrze.

Mróz is one of the most popular polish writers of the young generation. "Kontratyp" is his latest novel from the series Chyłka -  and it's talking about further adventures of two Warsaw attorneys. This time Chyłka is forced to defend one of the participants of the expedition to Annapurna. The book still, in my opinion, keeps the level though the thread of sending Joanna Ch. for this eight-thousands height mountain is slightly exaggerated. However the whole book I read very quick.

2. Daria Orlicz " Diabelski młyn"

Ta książka to wielowątkowy obraz łaczący się w jedną całość. Nie brakuje w niej takich wątków jak pedofilia, morderstwo, zdrada, handle żywym towarem czy też porwanie. Nikt tutaj nie jest idealny. Każdy ma jakieś skazy, nawt Ci, którzy stoją po stronie prawa. Mroczny, ponury klimat sprawia,że książkę czyta się naprawdę szybko i z pewnością jest to pozycja, która wyróznia się na polskim rynku . 

This book is a multifaceted image that merges into one whole. There is no lack here of such topics as pedophilia, murder, betrayal, human trafficking or kidnapping. Nobody is perfect here. Everyone has some flaws, even those who are on the right side of the law. Dark, gloomy climate makes that I read this book very quickly and for sure this is a position that stands out on the Polish thriller books market.

3. Agnieszka Pietrzyk "Porwanie"

Borykający się z problemami finasowymi Seweryn wpada na plan porwania dla okupu swojego małego synka Tymka. Sprawy zaczynają się komplikować, kiedy chłopczyk naprawdę zostaje porwany. Komu tak bardzo zależy na tym , aby to zrobić? Trzymająca w napięciu oraz pełna zwrotów akcji książka zachwyci fanów gatunku. Bardzo polecam.

Struggling with financial problems, Seweryn hit on the idea to kidnap his own young little son, Tymek. Things start to get complicated when the boy is really kidnapped by someone else. Who cares so much about doing it? Keeping in suspense and full of twists and turns, the book will delight fans of this genre. I highly recommend.

4. Chris McGeorge " Zgadnij kto " / Guess who

11-letni Morgan  Sheppard rozwiązuje zagadkę śmierci swojego nauczyciela matematyki. To staje się poczatkiem jego drogi do sławy.

25 lat później budzi się on przykuty do łożka wraz z pięcioma innymi osobami oraz ciałem w wannie w pokoju hotelowym. Ma trzy godziny , aby wśród nich znaleźć zabójcę. Aby uratować siebie oraz swoich towarzyszy musi cofnąć się doczasów dzieciństwa, aby tam odnaleźć wskazówki pozwalające na rozwiązania zagadki. Polecam.

11-year-old Morgan Sheppard solved the mystery of the death of his math teacher. This is the beginning of his path to fame.

25 years later, he wakes up, chained to a bed with five other people and a body in a bathtub in a hotel's room. He has three hours to find the killer among them. In order to save himself and his companions, he must go back to his childhood to find clues to solve the riddle. I would recommend.

1. J.D Barker "Czwarta Małpa"

Mroczny, pełen zwrotów akcji thriller.  W mieście od wielu lat grasuje seryjny zabójca zwany ze względu na metodę zabijania ofiar "Czwartą małpą". Pewnego dnia pod kołami autobusu ginie pieszy. Wszystkie posiadane przez niego przedmioty wraz z pisanym ręcznie pamiętnikiem świadczą o tym, iż jest to właśnie słynny zabójca "Czwartej małpy". Tymczasem ostatnia z porwanych przez niego ofiar ma coraz mniej czasu, by zostać odnaleziona żywa. Zaczyna się wyścig z czasem, a wskazówki gdzie ukryta jest ofiara znajdują się w pamiętniku oraz przedmiotach znajdujących się  przy sprawcy. Czy policji uda się odnaleźć ofiarę i poznać tożsamość mordercy dowiecie się czytając pierwszą z serii książkę. Bardzo polecam. Fani gatunku będą zachwyceni :-)

A dark, action-packed thriller. Since many years in the city, a serial killer has been raiding and because of the method of killing victims he is called "Fourth Monkey". One day, pedestrian is dying cause of the wheel of the bus. All his items, along with a handwritten diary, prove that he was the famous killer of the "Fourth Monkey". Meanwhile, the last of the victims he kidnapped has less and less time to be found alive. The race with time has begun, and the clues where the victim is hidden are in the diary and the objects located by the perpetrator. Will the police manage to find the victim and learn about the identity of the murderer ? If you want to know answer for this question you have to read the first book of the series. I highly recommend. Fans of the genre will be delighted.

2. Thomas Harris " Czarna niedziela"

Autor słynnego Hannibala tym razem proponuje nam książke  z nieco innego gatunku. Grupa zamachowców planuje przeprowadzić atak terrorystyczny na stadionie podczas rozgrywek. Z drugiej strony mamy także grupę ludzi, która stara się temu zapobiec. Wartka akcja, ciekawa fabuła sprawia, że książkę czyta się bardzo szybko.

The author of the famous Hannibal this time offers us a book from a slightly different genre. A group of bombers is planning to conduct a terrorist attack on the stadium during the champion games. On the other hand, we also have a group of people who are trying to prevent this situation. Great action, interesting plot makes that I read  the book  very quickly.

 

3. Plaża Babylon :Sekretne życie milionerów na rajskiej wyspie. Imogen Edward Jones.

Czwarta z serii książek Babylon autorstwa Imogen Edward Jones opisuje tydzień z życia pracowników oraz gości jednego z najbardziej luksusowych kurortó świata. Oparta na prawdziwych historiach opowieść sprawia, iż rzekomy raj wcale się w moich ( i pewnie nie tylko) takim rajem jednak nie wydaje. Przyjemna, lekka lektura na jesienny wieczór.

Fourth of a series of Babylon books written by Imogen Edward Jones describes a week of the life of employees and guests of one of the most luxurious resorts in the world. Based on real stories, the story makes the alleged paradise in my (and probably not only)this kind of paradise does not seem to be. Pleasant, light book to read during an autumn evening.

 

4. Gillian Flynn "Ostre przedmioty"

Do sięgnięcia po te pozycję książkową zachecił mnie mini serial produkcji HBO pod tym samym tytułem. W małym miasteczku Wind Gap zaczynają ginąć dziewczynki. Dziennikarka Camille Preaker, dawna mieszkanka tego miasteczka właśnie ze względu na ten fakt zostaje tam wysłana w celu napisania artykułu śledczego. Powrót po latach okazuje sie dużo trudniejszy niż myślała, ponieważ to tam wszystko się zaczęło - śmierć siostry, kaleczenie własnego ciała a do tego toksyczna matka. Ciekawie napisany kryminał z dramatem rodzinnym w tle- bardzo polecam także na ciekawe zakończenie.

 To reach for this book position, I was encouraged by a mini series produced by HBO under the same title. In the little town of Wind Gap, little girls start dying. Journalist Camille Preaker, a former resident of this town, due to this fact, is have been sent there to write an investigative article. Return after years it turns out to be much more difficult than she thought, because it all started there - the death of her sister, hurting her own body and also toxic mother. Interestingly written crime story with family drama in the background, I highly recommend also for an interesting ending.
